GREENFIELD
Kevin Jay Elkins, age 39, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his home. He was born in Indianapolis on April 13, 1984 to Linda (Rolf) and Kevin Elkins. He graduated from Lawrence North High School in 2002 and received his associate degree from Ivy Tech. He was an iron worker at Harmon Steel for many years. He was a member of the Union Iron Worker Local 22. Kevin enjoyed playing disc golf and ice hockey and going kayaking. He was also quite a video game enthusiast.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Aimee Catellier; sons, Mason J. and Gavin M. Elkins; parents, Linda and Kevin (Lola) Elkins; siblings, Kyle (Stacy) Elkins, Eric (Kelly) Mandery, Ross (Jenny) Bradley and Becky (Bill) Ford; paternal grandfather, John Elkins; maternal grandmother, Treva Rolf; and maternal grandfather, Walter Rolf; Brother-in-Law, Andrew (Tabitha) Catellier, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Wilma Elkins.
Private family services are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory in Greenfield. A Celebration of Life will take place on a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
