GREENFIELD
Sharon E. “Shari” Burris, age 75, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. She was born in Indianapolis on April 7, 1948, to William Vaughn and Goldie Evelyn (Fields) Walton. She graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis.
She worked in the Hancock County Clerk’s office for many years and was elected Hancock County Clerk in 2006. She retired in 2010. She loved to play Euchre with her friends. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Shari is survived by her children, Kelli (Shane) Burris Kaboski, Anson P. (Michelle) Burris, and Tami (Jeremy) Sturgill, all of Greenfield; and grandchildren Taylor, Desiree, Kortni, Anson II, Emma, Madison, Samara, and Sophi. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernon, Audrey, and Abe; sister, Wanda; and the father of her children, Daniel Burris.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
