Marylen Vail, 91, of McCordsville, passed away May 4, 2023. She was born on July 26, 1931, in McCordsville to Carl and Lennie (Luebkeman) Snider.

Marylen worked for the IRS, Telco Credit Union, and the JCPenney Coffee Shop, but most of her life was spent as a farm wife, homemaker, and bookkeeper for the family farm. She was a member of McCordsville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the UMW. She was also a member of the Common Thread Quilt Club and the Point Brittany Writers Club. She enjoyed being involved in her book clubs, leading Bible studies, cooking, cake decorating, gardening, traveling, and crafting. She loved ice cream and was an accomplished painter. She was a friend to all and exemplified faith in God.

Marylen is survived by her children Karen Breedlove, Barry (Donna) Vail, Aaron (Niki Cook) Vail, and Amy (Mitch) Reeves; grandchildren Lennie and Sam Reeves; bonus grandchildren Reno Reeves, Sonja Cavallero, Anthony Breedlove, Jaedon Cook and Kailah Cook; bonus great-grandchildren Sky Cantwell, Ridge Cavallero and Kelsey, Jalen, Jacy, and Tristen Breedlove, Braxton Cook, Emmaly Bell, and Aison and Arizona Whitthorne; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard E. Vail; parents Carl and Lennie Snider; and siblings Bill Snider, Ray Snider, and Carol Brown.

Friends may call on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville, IN. Funeral Services for Marylen will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 11 am at McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway Street, McCordsville, IN 46055.
