GREENFIELD
Joyce Ann (Jones) Jones, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on August 29, 1938 to Henry Clay Jones and Della Ann Asberry. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. Joyce married George Edward Jones on March 28, 1971 in Anderson.
She was a beautician and owned her salon and was a past real estate agent in Hancock County. Joyce was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Eden Lodge #101, past worthy matron and district grand deputy and attended Faith United Methodist Church. Joyce enjoyed shopping and most of all spending time with her grandchild and great-grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, George Jones of Greenfield; son, Mike Rosing of Shirley; grandson, Dillon (Laken) Rosing of Greenfield; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Sutton Rosing; and niece and nephew, Donna and David Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Thomason and Jean Moore; brother, Ralph Jones; and step-father, William Barrett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mike Hopper will be officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
