Why are you running for office?

First and foremost, I am running for Mayor because I love Greenfield. It has been a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I believe I offer leadership and a vision to help make Greenfield an even better place for everyone to live and grow. I plan to offer transparency in government, promote community safety, and foster quality-controlled growth.

How are you qualified?

I believe I am the only qualified candidate in the field. I have served four terms on the Greenfield Common Council which has afforded me the opportunity to see how the entire city operates and not just an individual department. Over the past 16 years I have made decisions and helped guide the city to the great community it is today. The next 10 years will be extremely important for the future of our city, and that future shouldn’t be put in the hands of inexperience.

What are the most pressing issues facing Greenfield?

Fixing our deteriorating roads and making our infrastructure modernized will be a focus for my administration. Public safety and supporting police and fire will be important. I will make sure our citizens feel safe and protected. I will continue to bring quality growth and jobs to the city. During my time on council, BWI and Yamaha have brought numerous high-paying jobs that offer opportunity for our residents. I will make sure we continue to attract these types of companies without selling Greenfield short. Additionally, I want to focus on continuing to grow our downtown, expanding our trails and parks to provide healthy amenities within the city.

Do you support increasing the general tax rate for the Greenfield Fire Protection Territory? Why or why not?

I support increasing the general tax for the Greenfield Fire Territory to make sure our residents have what is needed for their safety and protection. I will make sure the fire territory grows and has the resources they need as our city grows. However, I will work closely with fire territory leadership to make sure they have what they need but aren’t given a blank check. My 32 years as a firefighter with Pike Township makes me the only candidate running for mayor uniquely qualified to do this.
