Children’s choir to perform spring concert

GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Children’s Choir will present its spring concert “Reaching for the Stars” this Saturday, April 15.

The event, at Park Chapel Christian Church, will include performances at 2:30 and 7 p.m. The “journey of exploration and fun” will feature several student soloists, as well as two instrumental duets including HCCC student and pianist Marshall Frye with professional cellist Eliza Bracken. “Legally Blonde” planned for MVHS

FORTVILLE – “Legally Blonde, the Musical” will be performed at Mt. Vernon High School this weekend.

The Mt. Vernon Theatre production will be April 13-16. Tickets are at mvhs.booktix.com. The production is recommended for ages 6 and up; online tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for children 18 and under; at the door is $20 for adults and $15 for children.

“James and the Giant Peach” coming to stage

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Eastern Hancock Drama Club will perform “James and the Giant Peach”this weekend at the high school’s auditorium. The play is based on the book by Roald Dahl.

Show times are 7 p.m. April 14; 7 p.m. April 15 and 2 p.m. April 16. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Millennial childhood crafts, wine planned for event

GREENFIELD – A Throwback Craft Night is planned for 6:30 p.m. April 21, featuring art projects from the millennial childhood, along with wine.

The event, hosted by Greenfield Parks and Recreation, will be at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 Apple St., Greenfield. Cost is $35 for Greenfield residents, $40 for non-residents; fees cover all art supplies needed plus two adult beverages.
