INDIANAPOLIS
Thomas J. Lifford, age 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis on October 7, 1953, to Glen Roy Lifford and Edna Marie (King) Lifford and went to Arsenal Technical High School. On October 23, 1970, Thomas married Diana L. (Hanlon) in Indianapolis. For over 30 years, he worked for Rolls Royce as a machinist before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed working on cars and was always working on something.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diana Lifford; sons, William Matthew “Matt” Lifford and David Felland; granddaughter, Joy Ramsey; siblings, Glen Roy Lifford, Jr., Tempest Branch, Zonya Spears, Crystal Lawson and Fred Lifford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen &Edna; son, Thomas James “TJ” Lifford; and brothers, Donald and Howard Lifford.
