Brooke’s Place to benefit from trivia event

MCCORDSVILLE – Daniel’s Vineyard in McCordsville will host a family-friendly trivia night fundraiser for Brooke’s Place.

The event, themed “Party like it’s 1999,” will feature trivia from 1999 and the 2000s and will be at 6 p.m. March 30 at the vineyard, 9061 N. 700 W., McCordsville. Tickets are $10 per person; proceeds benefit Brooke’s Place, an Indianapolis nonprofit organization that supports grieving children and families. Students to create garden in memory of Kathy Dowling

GREENFIELD – Local students will be creating a garden this spring behind Greenfield-Central High School in honor of the late Kathy Dowling.

The Kathy Dowling Memorial Garden will be accessible to students and community members and will include vegetables, fruit and flowers in memory of the former school board member and community leader. Students in a community service class are working on plans now and will need volunteers and donations. Medication drop-off boxes at McCordsville Town Hall

MCCORDSVILLE – McCordsville Town Hall now offers a drop-off safe box for unused or expired medication.

The box is located near the police reception window to safely dispose of medications. It’s provided by Neighborhoods Against Substance Abuse (NASA). Town hall is located at 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
