Healthcare update talk planned

GREENFIELD – Hancock Health President and CEO Steve Long will give an update on the national and local healthcare industry and Hancock Health’s plan for 2023 and beyond in an upcoming event.

“Our Healthcare Update” will be at 11:30 a.m. March 16 at the Sue Ann Wortman Cancer Center Community Room, 801 N. State St., Greenfield. The event is free but reservations are required by March 9. Email Amy Kirkpatrick at [email protected] or call 317-468-4177.

NPHS band program to host mattress sale

NEW PALESTINE – New Palestine High School’s band program will host a mattress fundraiser.

The one-day sale through Custom Fundraising Solutions Indianapolis will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 12 in the NPHS main gym. Brand name mattresses are available for below retail; a portion of proceeds goes back to the band program.

Leadership group to host annual luncheon

GREENFIELD – Leadership Hancock County will host its annual alumni luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 5 at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Main St., Greenfield. All LHC alumni are encouraged to attend for lunch and a presentation.

White family grants open

SHIRLEY – The White Family Foundation grant cycle application opened March 6, offering opportunities for nonprofits that serve Shirley and nearby communities a chance to receive funds for their projects.

Eligible projects may include beautification projects, building facade improvements, recreational enhancements and accessibility, public safety and transportation. The grant is open to nonprofits that serve Shirley and may include, but are not limited to, Wilkinson, Knightstown, Charlottesville, Kennard, Carthage, Willow Branch, Greensboro and Grant City.
