Thomas W. Bloodgood, age 90 of Greenfield passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Columbus, Indiana. Tom was born January 18, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Don E. and Margaret (Austin) Bloodgood. He married his wife of 65 years Carole (Hudlow) on August 3, 1957.
Tom received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and retired from Eli Lilly and Company after a 30-year tenure. Always active in the community, Tom was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, Greenfield Kiwanis, and previously served on the board of directors for the Hancock Community Foundation, and the Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation. He was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association, The John Purdue Club, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Tom was a master gardener, and a member of the Indianapolis Bonsai Society.
He is survived by his wife Carole Bloodgood; children, Tom (Laura) Bloodgood, Linda (Dale) Guse, Julie Myers, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and twin sister, Natalie Bloodgood.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Bloodgood.
