Blood drives coming up in McCordsville

MCCORDSVILLE – Two blood drives are coming up in McCordsville.

A Versiti Bloodmobile will be at Proportion-Air 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 22. The business is located at 8250 N. 600 W., McCordsville.

McCordsville United Methodist Church will host a blood drive inside the church from 3-6:30 pm. Feb. 23. The church is located at 8250 N. 600 W., McCordsville.

Euchre event to benefit soup kitchen

GREENFIELD – A euchre tournament benefiting the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen is coming up at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 11.

The event, at Elks Club, 820 S. State St., Greenfield, will include eight deals per game. Winners move to the next table and change partners each game; partners are not needed to participate. The top three scorers win cash prizes.

Cost is $10 per person; half goes to the kitchen and half to the prize pot. Bring quarters for 25 cents for each euchre. Pulled pork baskets and cash bar are available. Visit facebook.com/KBMSoupKitchen for more.

Inspiring Abilities Expo coming up

GREENFIELD – Families United for Support and Encouragement will host its annual Inspiring Abilities Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4 at JB Stephens Elementary School in Greenfield.

The event offers families and professionals an opportunity to network with organizations and service providers who meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. Participants can visit the exhibit hall to meet and talk with therapy and service providers, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, recreation programs and more. Admission and parking is free. Special Olympics to host fashion show

GREENFIELD – Special Olympics of Hancock County will have a fashion show at Cynthia’s Hallmark in Greenfield March 5.

The event, scheduled for 2 p.m., will include an hour of athletes on a runway. The store is giving each participant a free scarf, punch, snacks and coupons to shop after the show.
