INDIANAPOLIS
Randall Richard Reed, age 70, of Indianapolis passed away January 7, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 14, 1952 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Robert Joseph and Norma Jean (Hufford) Reed.
He was a 1970 graduate of Rossville Consolidated High School, member of 1968-1969 and 1969-1970 Semi-State Basketball teams. He attended Butler University, where he played baseball and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was also a member of Greenfield Rotary and Greenfield Christian Church. He was a proud coach for Youth baseball and basketball for the Boys and Girls Clubs as well as AAU basketball.
Randy was an avid lifelong Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and enjoyed playing golf.
Randall is survived by his sons: Ryan (Jessica) Reed, Robb Ray Reed, and Rhett Randall (Jessica) Reed; daughter, Richelle Renae Reed; grandchildren, Meghan and Kamryn; and brother Robin (Beth) Reed. He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Homes – Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Randall’s memory to the Greenfield Boys and Girls Club.
