Terri Jean Close, 64, of Markleville passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2023 at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Anderson. She was born on December 31, 1958 in Louisville, KY, shortly after she moved to California where she spent a good portion of her life. She met her husband Scott Close there before they moved to Indiana in 1989.
She graduated from Gilbert High School. She worked at several jobs within retail, customer service and guest hospitality. She loved being outdoors and preferred being at or on the water. She loved making memories with her family and exploring new places for them to create memories. She was a strong, determined woman who always was there for her family when they needed her.
Terri survived by her loving spouse Scott Close who she married on May 21st, 1988. Her mother Norma Jean Haycraft, sisters Diane Haycraft &Lorri Peters, brother Chuck (Donna) Good. Sons, Daniel Howieson, Matthew (Monica) Nalley, Zachary Close. Daughter Breanna (Clay) Craib. She was a proud Mamaw of 7 grandchildren, Mariah, DJ, Lexi, Matthew, Zayden, Andrew and Meara. She leaves behind her beloved dog Buddy and cat Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her father Paul Haycraft, along with several other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 between 2:00pm – 6:00pm, services will be immediately after at Loose Funeral Homes &Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.
