GREENFIELD
James Denton Burdine, 86, of Greenfield, passed away on December 5, 2022. Denton, as he was commonly known, was born in Somerset, KY on February 22, 1936, to parents, Fordie and Alice (Baker) Burdine. He retired from Kroger Bakery and attended Outlook Christian Church. He enjoyed vacations to Sanibel, FL and was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR. He also enjoyed yardwork, tending to his pool, and tinkering in the garage.
Denton was preceded in death by his parents, Fordie and Alice; and wife, Emma Burdine.
Survivors include his children: Jim Burdine (Jeannie), Lu Ann Bolander (Jeff), Debbie Esters (Kerry), Tim Burdine (Alice) and Otis Burdine (Kay); 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many other extended family and friends.
Visitation: 11am – 1pm, Mon., Dec. 12, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street), with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Burial: Washington Park East Cemetery.
