Pets may have photos with Santa

GREENFIELD – Get your pet’s photo taken with Santa and support a local cause Sunday, Dec. 4.

Partners for Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) and Greenfield Parks and Recreation are partnering for an event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Shelter House in Riley Park Dec. 4. Friendly, vaccinated animals are welcome to come to the event for a photo that includes a digital image and a cardboard frame. Cost is $15, cash or card.

McCordsville hosts holiday celebration, Giving Tree

MCCORDSVILLE – The Town of McCordsville will have its Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Celebration from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at McCordsville Town Hall, 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville.

Local residents are also invited to visit McCordsville Town Hall and pick out an ornament from the McCordsville Giving Tree to help a neighbor or child in need. Holiday wishes will be listed on the ornament; purchase the item listed and bring them back to town hall by Dec. 12 so gifts can be distributed to the corresponding child or family.

New Palestine to launch “Whoville” themed festival

NEW PALESTINE – The town of New Palestine will host its inaugural Winter Fest – “Whoville Holiday in New Palestine” – on Dec. 10. The public is encouraged to take part in the Christmas Walk form 3-6 p.m., visiting vendors located at town hall, Depot Street and Main Street. A “Grinchmas Parade” kicks off at 4 p.m., followed by story time with Mrs. Claus at 4:45 and a visit with Santa at 5 p.m. A luminary lighting is at 5:30 p.m., followed by a tree lighting at 6:15 p.m.
