Greenfield-Central’s boys wrestling team picked up a 50-19 victory over visiting Franklin Central Tuesday.

Silas Frye, Tristen Lanum, Lincoln Parsons, Jett McGuire, Dylan Luther got the Cougars the lead.

Kannon Zuber, Cohen Hager, Zeke Holden, John Ubelhor and Clay Guenin finished it off.

With the score 20-19, the Cougars won the final five matches, all by pin.

Lanum, at 195, won his match, 6-4, in overtime. Luther, at 132, had a close 7-5 decision to give G-C a 20-19 advantage.

Cougars defeat Flashes

Greenfield-Central’s girls wrestling team defeated Franklin Central 18-12 at G-C Tuesday.

Maddy Reed, Ella Harpold, and Kylie Smith-Foster all won by fall. Harpold and Smith-Foster beat wrestlers that were ranked in the Top 10 in the state in their weight classes.
