Letter to the Editor: Don’t fall for Democrats’ Social Security ploy

To the Editor:

President JRB, or more likely the flunkies who surround and advise him, have made a “last-ditch effort” to try to limit the damage done by the Democrats since Joe the Simple, or Joe the Simple-minded, took office, by pointing out that the Democrats are, and would be in the future, better stewards, caretakers of the stalwart and untouchable Social Security pension plan that the American government, “Uncle Sam,” takes off the top of our paychecks. This is a no-brainer, for this is common knowledge to any logical, level-headed American who knows anything about the twentieth century, and now the twenty-first century.

However, that hardly qualifies as a good reason to vote Democrat, in the upcoming elections only days away, as well as in 2024, perhaps even beyond. Furthermore, I trust Republicans like Rick Scott in Florida with Social Security’s future security (pun intended) about as far as I can throw him, which “ain’t” very far. But, since the Democrats are spending money like there’s no tomorrow, so to speak—on illegal aliens, in Ukraine, and on ridiculous attempts to “go green” way too early and way too fast, for example—they’re going to “break the bank,” so to speak, not just figuratively, but quite literally, so as to ruin, altogether, the United States government’s financial solvency and the ability to borrow more money to keep the government going in the future, which is what, not only China but some in our media and our own government, for example, want, and are actively trying to bring about.

So, in sum, and the takeaway: The Democrat Party ploy to hold onto power by saying that Social Security’s existence will be in jeopardy if Republicans win big this November, and in 2024, and beyond, just doesn’t add up, and is, quite frankly, a scam, a gimmick.
