Greenfield leaf pickup begins Oct. 31

GREENFIELD – Leaf pick-up for the city of Greenfield will be October through December.

Leaves must be raked to a curbside. Bagged leaves must also be placed at the curbside and will be picked up within two working days after calling the Greenfield Street Department, 317-477-4380.

Greenfield city residents on the east side of State Street (Ind. 9) will have leave pickup Oct. 31-Nov. 4; Nov. 14-18; and Nov. 28-Dec. 2.

Residents on the west side of State Street will have leaves picked up Nov. 7-11; Nov. 21-25; and Dec. 5-9.

Leaves should be at the curb by 8 a.m. the Monday of the scheduled week to ensure pickup. The schedule is subject to change due to weather and availability of machinery and crews.

HCCF to celebrate 30 years with gala

GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Community Foundation will host a Thirtieth Anniversary Gala at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at Daniel’s Vineyard 9061 N. 700W., McCordsville.

The event will feature dinner, dancing and entertainment by Stella Luna.

The event is $60 per person and corporate or family tables of up to eight guests are available at $480. Make reservations by Oct. 31 at hancock.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list/ticket or mail payment and a list of guest names to Laura Parker, 312 E. Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140.

Fortville planning for annual Winterfest

FORTVILLE – The annual Fortville Winterfest is scheduled for noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. The event is presented by the Town of Fortville and 3Rivers Federal Credit Union and will include vendors, a kids’ zone, live music, bonfire stations, a parade and more.
