The following animals are available for adoption at Greenfield Hancock Animal Management, 2195 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. Animals get initial vaccines upon arrival of the facility, and the cost of rabies vaccines and spay/neuter procedures are also covered. For more information, call (317) 477-4367. Here, Office Manager Raven Steinmetz tells us a little about each pet.

“Gigi is a very sweet, active, older, girl. Gigi was impounded because her owners didn’t want to take care of her anymore. Since her time with us, she has been nothing but a ball of joy.

Gigi came in with several concerning masses on her body. We were able to get one her biggest ones on her leg removed and her recovery has been perfect.

Gigi has an outstanding personality and has loved every human she has met while being at GHAM. She loves tennis balls, and despite her age, will run around and play with toys.

With Gigi’s past and her age, we would love for her to find her forever home.”

Max Submitted photo

“Max is a very sweet, young boy who is looking for his forever home. He is around 3.5 years old. Max was surrendered to us after being re-homed to a man because the owner had a few other young dogs and it was too much. Max is a very loving boy. Max has a huge personality and would make such an amazing, loyal companion for someone.

Max is good with other dogs, but is still sensitive and does not like to be jumped on or overwhelmed by playtime. He would most likely do best with a calmer, or older dog. He can be a little bit timid at first.

We prefer that if Max goes to a household with children, that they be older. Though Max is a wonderful boy, he still needs a little work on basic manners. He can be jumpy.”

Rigby Submitted photo

“Rigby is a pitbull mix and we are guessing that he is around 11 years old. Rigby came to us as a stray in terrible condition. He saw the vet and was put on antibiotics and steroids. We are hoping that with some TLC he will get to looking better in no time.

He is very quiet in his cage and he loves to sleep and curl up in his blankets. It’s adorable to peek inside his cage, seeing him sleeping so soundly with his blankets. We tested him with another dog and he was wagging his tail and was very excited. He was acting a bit dominant with her but did okay overall. If you have other pets at home, we will definitely want to do a meet and greet to make sure that everyone gets along.

Even though Rigby is older, he is very spry for his age! He loves to run outside and he enjoys soaking up the sun while he is out there. Rigby deserves a home where he is shown so much love during his golden years.”

Wallace Submitted photo

“Wallace is a great dog! He is approximately 7 years old.

Wallace was very anxious when he first arrived here. He was very frantic and was jumpy. He just wants to be with people and wants to be loved. He couldn’t understand why he was here and we couldn’t believe that he was never reclaimed. He was a bit overweight and looked like he belonged to someone. Wallace has lost some weight and is looking really good now.

All Wallace wants is to be loved. We do recommend that he go to a home without small children because sometimes he jumps and with his size, he could definitely knock little ones over. Other than that, he is super friendly and great with everyone! He does like other dogs too. If you have other dogs at home, we would want to do a meet and greet before he goes to his new home. Once he is fully relaxed and in a home, we could see him being a major couch potato!”
