Community drug toss Oct. 22

GREENFIELD – A community drug toss is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 22 at two local banks.

Drop off unused or expired medication for safe disposal at Greenfield Banking Company locations at 1920 N. State St., Greenfield; or 111 W. Broadway St., Fortville. McCordsville, Fortville sites to host blood drives

MCCORDSVILLE – Several blood drives are coming up in western Hancock County. Here are locations and times for upcoming community blood mobiles and drives:

Trax BBQ, 7724 Depot St., McCordsville, noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 15.

Gateway Community Church of Fortville, 125 E. Staat St., Fortville, 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 16.

Hancock Wellness Center, 8505 N. Clearview Drive, McCordsville, 1:45-6 p.m. Oct. 20.

McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway St., McCordsville, 3-6 p.m. Oct. 27.

Family fall art event set

GREENFIELD – A family collaborative painting class is coming up Nov. 5 at Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio.

At $10 per family member, each person gets a canvas to paint, fall embellishments to choose from and art instruction. The event is 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 5; pre-registration is required at parks.greenfieldin.org under “Family Events” or call 317-477-4340.
