FOUNTAINTOWN
Dale F. Walker, age 68, of Fountaintown, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Greenfield on July 16, 1954 to Katherine H. (Chadwick) and Wilbert M. Walker. Dale was a 1974 graduate of Morristown High School. On November 20, 1976, he married Sandra (Kuhns) in New Palestine.
He spent his career working as a mechanical engineer technician at Dresser-Rand. Dale enjoyed woodworking, deer hunting, building smokers, smoking meats and sitting by the fire. He attended Gwynneville Christian Church.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandy Walker of Fountaintown; son, Rob Walker of Fountaintown; Chrissy Paxton (Joe Paul) of Greenfield; grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, and Hannah Walker all of Fountaintown and Gavin and Kaylee Paxton both of Greenfield; siblings, Larry Walker, Tom Walker, and Linda Walker all of Morristown and Nancy Evans of Greenfield; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Walker of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frederick, Lowell, and Rollie Walker; brother-in-law, Doyle Evans; and great-niece, Paige Evans.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at the mortuary on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
