Ivan Glen Engleking, age 90, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at his home. Born on November 19, 1931, in Morristown, he was the son of Eliza Charlotte (Everhart) and Raymond Glen Engleking. Ivan was a 1949 graduate of Charlottesville High School and from 1953 to 1955, he served in the United States Army.

For many years, he was a farmer and fuel truck driver at Hancock Co-Op and Shelby Service. Ivan was a very active resident of Hancock County. He was a member of the Hancock County Cattleman’s Association, the Hancock County Farm Bureau and Charlottesville Friends Church. He was also a longtime supporter of Hancock County 4-H. He enjoyed going to cattle shows, traveling to Florida in the winter, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Ivan is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Louise Vanderbur-Engleking of Greenfield; children, Steven G. Engleking (Deanna) of LaGrange, Edward L. Engleking (Kathy) of Wilkinson, and Cynthia Kay Moore (Lauren) of Saint Cloud, FL; stepchildren, Michael D. Vanderbur (Charlene) of Shelbyville, Dalene Shireman (Alan) of Plainfield, Jerry L. Vanderbur (Debbie) of Westport, and Deanna S. Wenning (Daniel) of Westport; 14 granchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Engleking of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Norma Karyl (Jones) Engleking; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at noon with David Deem officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
