WILKINSON
Ruth McClendon, 86, of Wilkinson, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Henry County Hospital in New Castle, Indiana.
She was born March 2, 1936 in Willow Branch, Indiana to the late Ralph and Pearl (Webb) Haynes.
She was a wonderful home maker for the majority of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.
Ruth was a member of the Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed time with her family, friends, church family and her three best buddies at Glen Oaks Healthcare, Jeannie Collier, Viola Camplin and Pat Woods.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Scott) Hardy and Connie (Ray) McCormick both of Shirley, Indiana; three sisters-in-law; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Windle McClendon; a sister; six brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Ruth will be remembered for the true love of her family, friends, church family and let’s not forget her cooking.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Condo &St.Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson with Doug Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church.
