GREENFIELD – Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 from the region competed in the 26th annual Math Academic Teams for Hoosiers competition April 12 at Greenfield-Central High School.

In all, over 8,000 students across Indiana competed in similar events; G-CHS was among 60 sites in which the M.A.T.H. competition took place. Teams of up to 20 students worked cooperatively to answer eight problems.

The competition is administered by Indiana Association of School Principals, Department of Student Programs with the support of Purdue University, to emphasize the importance of mathematics.
