HANCOCK COUNTY — The county woman who was severely injured when her car was hit and had to be pulled to safety from the burning vehicle in Sept. 2020 is in desperate need of funds for medical needs.
Friends are trying to raise money, at least $10,000 to help Heather Fischer, who has a 16-year-old son she is raising while she is still trying to recover. Fischer was left disabled with many ongoing surgeries keeping her from making a steady income, her friends say. While she has applied for disability, the family needs help until she can receive the official disability aid. Any money donated will be used for cost of living, shelter, food, clothing, travel, hygiene and all basic needs for Heather and her 16-year-old son.
