GREENFIELD — When St. Michael Catholic Church celebrated its renovation and expansion in 2021, not quite all the pieces were in place.
Large plywood pieces flanked the altar. The large decorative panels meant for the space were delayed by supply chain issues, but they have since arrived and been installed.
Now the new altar area is complete. Since the renovation of the church building included moving the altar from the east side to the west, the altar now rests below a large stained-glass window depicting the archangel Michael, the parish’s patron saint.
