Local student named to RIT dean’s list

McCORDSVILLE – Alexander Yovanovich of McCordsville was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the fall 2021 semester. Yovanovich is in the microelectronic engineering program.

To receive the deans’ list honor, students must be full-time, taking at least 12 credit hours with a grade point average of at least 3.4. Founded in 1829, the New York-based RIT, is among the largest private universities in the country, enrolling about 18,600 students in more than 200 programs.

Black and Gold Gala set

FORTVILLE – The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation will host its Black and Gold Gala at 6 p.m. April 23 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.

MV hosting talks on referendum

FORTVILLE – Mt. Vernon Superintendent Dr. Jack Parker will speak about the referendum and host a question and answer session in a series of virtual “traveling talks” coming up.

EH officials to hold community meeting

CHARLOTTESVILLE – A community engagement event is coming up to help Eastern Hancock officials ensure graduates have skills and attributes they need to be successful after high school.
