Summer children’s theater applications due

GREENFIELD – Students in grades 4 through 8 that want to participate in the 2022 Hancock County Children’s Theater Workshop must turn in an application by March 11.

The program runs 8:30-11:30 a.m. each weekday from May 31 to June 24. This year’s production is “The Enhancement of Beauty and the Beast.” Around 100 children with talents in the visual or performing arts will be selected for participation.

The workshop will be held at Greenfield-Central High School; performance dates are June 24 and 25. Cost is $125.

Concerts, movie coming to Ricks

GREENFIELD – The H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts will feature several artists and concerts this month.

Organic Robots Songwriters Night will be held at March 12, featuring Two Jasons at 7 p.m., Caleb McCoach and Band at 8:05 p.m., and Keller and Cole at 9:10 p.m.

Scott Dixon and Company and the Hwy 243 Band will perform at 6 p.m. March 26.

The documentary “Mind Polluters” sponsored by Purple for Parents Indiana will play at 10 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 22 and again at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 27.

Transportation exhibit, show planned

GREENFIELD – The Twenty North Gallery is featuring local artists in “The Art of Transportation” exhibit this month.

An artists’ reception and awards announcement will be held at the Second Friday event, 6:30 p.m. March 11. The gallery, 20 N. State St., Greenfield, is open on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The month-long gallery exhibit coincides with an upcoming car show March 26 “Cruising the Living Alley.”
