Wayne G. Singer, 84, of McCordsville, IN, passed away February 4, 2022. He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on August 30, 1937 to the late Gilmore and Pearl (Cato) Singer.
Mr. Singer served in the United States Navy from June 1955 to July 1958. He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree and began teaching at Franklin High School and later retired from the insurance business. He loved coaching and watching all sports and even had a collection of sports memorabilia.
Wayne is survived by his four children, daughter, Lisa Crooks of New Palestine, sons, Jeff Singer of New Palestine, Mark (Lori) Singer of McCordsville, and Brett Singer of Lyman, South Carolina; grandchildren, Randy (Jamie) Matthews of New Palestine, Shane (Ciarra) Singer of New Palestine, Alexandria (Matt) Wild of Atlanta, Georgia, Emily Crooks of Orlando, Florida, Matthew Singer of Greenfield, and Jayson (Molly) Singer of Laurel, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Raelyn Singer, Lilly Singer, and Anderson Matthews; and sister, Marcia Singer of Evansville.
He is preceded in passing by his brothers Bob Singer, David Singer, and Don Blessinger.
Graveside services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana at a later date to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.
