HANCOCK COUNTY — The county added a new COVID-19 death Monday, raising its total to 231.
The victim was a man age 80 or older who died on Jan. 28, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Hancock County added 22 new COVID-19 cases from Feb. 6, its lowest case day since Dec. 26, when it recorded 18.
The state health department had yet to update statewide COVID-19 deaths as of Monday afternoon but reported over 2,000 new cases from Feb. 6, a daily total more comparable to the ones seen before the surge of the virus’ omicron variant this fall.
