Town receives nearly $10,000 grant

FORTVILLE — The town of Fortville has received a grant award of $9,920 from Indiana Public Employers’ Plan, Inc. for safety equipment.

The grant funds will be used to purchase equipment for the town’s water department that will allow employees to service water valves and hydrants in a manner that reduces risk of injury.

IPEP was created in 1989 as a risk-sharing pool for public entities in response to the need for public employers to find affordable workers’ compensation coverage. IPEP has grown to provide workers’ compensation claims administration for more than 700 public entities including cities, towns, counties and schools.
