SHIRLEY — Officials with the Shirley Volunteer Fire Department are looking for emergency medical technicians. The department is in need of firefighter/EMTs and EMTs to help cover daytime shifts. They have two basic life support ambulances, two rescue engines, a tanker and a grass truck. The department covers 911 responses in northeastern Hancock County and western Henry County, some 77 square miles. The position does not require residency, and it pays an hourly rate, paid monthly.
