Support is also available for AP courses.

MVHS teacher earns award

FORTVILLE – Sarah Terrell, a Mt. Vernon High School social studies teacher, was awarded the Golden Apple trophy from WISH-TV in January, along with a $500 check from the station’s sponsor.

Terrell has been a Mt. Vernon teacher for more than 15 years and currently teaches AP government and AP European history. She is the team lead for the MVHS social studies department. Students and staff commended her for her ability to engage and excite her class, whether that be by making her students do jumping jacks to wake up or by assignments, like an ugly sweater project where students decorated clothes with objects related to the French Revolution.
