Hancock County Sheriff Brad Burkhart recently welcomed two new deputies to the department. Ben Walker and James Heneghan formerly worked as a jail officers before being promoted to deputy.
Both new deputies are undergoing departmental field training and also will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
