GREENFIELD
Jerry Curtis Newkirk, 42, of Greenfield (formerly of New Castle) died peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2022 at his home.
Jerry was born July 30, 1979 to Jerry and Tina (Clark) Newkirk, in New Castle, IN.
Jerry married the love of his life, Nikki on February 13, 2011. They have two beautiful boys, Dakota and Liam. Jerry enjoyed spending time with Nikki and the boys, going out to dinner and recently went on a family vacation to Universal Studios in Florida.
Jerry had an extreme love for soccer and helped coach his boys and their teams. In his spare time, Jerry loved to fish in his pond and would take pictures to show off his big catches. Jerry had a passion for art and created many colorful, beautiful piece. Jerry’s number one priority was his family, especially his mother, Tina. He was always there if anyone needed him. His family always came first and he loved them with all of his heart.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Tina Newkirk, wife Nikki Newkirk, sons Dakota and Liam, brother Christopher Newkirk, sister Victoria Newkirk, sister-in-law Krista Newkirk, two nieces Kallista and Khloe, five nephews Carson, Kaden, Camden, Michael, Elijah and a great-niece Serenity.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry M. Newkirk, his sister Jennifer Newkirk-Rose, paternal grandparents Floyd and Venus Newkirk and maternal grandparents Marion “Bud” and Peggy (Sayre) Clark.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.
