INDIANAPOLIS — Free mental health counseling and resources are available through Be Well Indiana and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.

The Be Well Indiana Crisis Helpline is a free, confidential support line available 24/7 through Indiana 211. Individuals who call the crisis helpline seek support for several distress reactions including anxiety or fearfulness; issues with sleep; isolation; intrusive thoughts; difficulty concentrating or making decisions; fatigue; and sadness.

The helpline can be accessed by calling 2-1-1, and more information is available at bewellindiana.com/video-resources/be-well-crisis-helpline.

When Hoosiers call the helpline, they can speak with trained, compassionate counselors and if needed, receive referrals for additional crisis counseling or mental health resources. Initially launched in July 2020 in response to the increased levels of stress, anxiety and isolation Hoosiers were experiencing because of the pandemic, the helpline has since received more than 25,000 calls, and counselors have invested more than 65,823 hours in helping individuals manage their mental health.
