HANCOCK COUNTY — Two more county residents have died from COVID-19, raising the local total to 203.
The latest fatalities were in their 50s and 70s, according to information from the Indiana Department of Health. One was a woman and the other was a man. The deaths occurred on Dec. 23, 2021 and Jan. 6, 2022.
Hancock County also added 187 new COVID-19 cases on Jan. 6.
Indiana added 165 new novel coronavirus deaths between Nov. 5, 2021 and Jan. 6 2022, raising its total to 18,959. The state also added nearly 15,000 new cases between Dec. 27 and Jan. 6.
