Watch Night Service is Dec. 31

GREENFIELD — Apostolic Pentecostal Church will have a Watch Night Service at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at the church, 1202 E. Fifth St. The gathering often includes a time of prayer around midnight.

New Year’s Eve services set

GREENFIELD — New Year’s Eve Divine Service begins at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. McKenzie Road.

Zion Lutheran Church will have a service at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at the church, 6513 W. County Road 300S, New Palestine. It will also be livestreamed at zionnewpal.org.

Pastor to lead class on grief

FORTVILLE — The Rev. Mark Adcock, who lost both of his parents to COVID-19 early in the pandemic, will lead a class, “Walking with God Thru Grief,” on Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

This will be both a support group and an educational experience looking at how God provides the grace to continue life after great loss.

Each class begins at 7 p.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship, 1574 W. State Road 234, Fortville (just east of Mt. Vernon Middle School).

Grief group meets in McCordsville

McCORDSVILLE — Circle of Caring grief support group next meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

The group meets in the adult classroom at the end of the hallway by the back door. No registration is required, organizers say; just come as you are, whenever you would like. This group is currently facilitated by John Myrland.

Blood drive set for Jan. 13

NEW PALESTINE — A blood drive is planned for 2 to 8 p.m. Jan. 13 at Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 W. U.S. 52.

The blood drive will take place in the church’s Family Life Center.
