HANCOCK COUNTY — Two more county residents have died from COVID-19, raising the county’s total to 190.
One of the latest fatalities was in their 60s and the other was in their 70s, according to information from the Indiana Department of Health. One was a woman and the other was a man. The deaths occurred on Dec. 3 and 12.
Daily cases in the county continue to increase, rising to a seven-day average of 65 as of Tuesday. Indiana’s average was 4,410.
Statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations have soared to over 3,000, eclipsing this fall’s surge amid the delta variant and nearing the peak of pandemic-wide hospitalizations a year ago.
