George M. Brown, 72, Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 22, 1949 in Shelbyville, son of Wilbur and Anna (Tribby) Brown.
George was known as a very funny man and a jokester; he had a mind for anything or any situation. Under all the humor, George was a family man that loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time with family was a top priority for George; he longed for the family to celebrate holidays and special occasions. A car salesman most of his working career, George was also a disc jockey, specifically at the Holiday Inn on the east side of Indianapolis; he made a multitude of friends over the years. He enjoyed watching all sports.
George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jan Brown, Knightstown; children, Ray (Jill) Sharp, Nashville, TN, Shelly (Jeff) Kline, Knightstown, Todd (Andrea) Sharp, Knightstown and Erica Pribble, Greenfield; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Jordan, Derek, Austin, Calla, Ciara, Cayna, Carra, Carma, Tim and Jim; great grandchildren, Layla, Kaysen, Jaxon, Gavin, Maverick, Bobby, Lenny and Jackson; brother, James Brown, Kansas City; son-in-law and best friend, Tim Turner, Knightstown.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Janna Turner.
Celebration of Life/ George’s Party. George’s family would like to invite anyone who knew him to join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 3-5 PM, at our home, 225 S Franklin Street, Knightstown. Dress casually; if you knew him there was nothing dressy about him. We will be enjoying some of his favorite junk food with not a fruit or veggie in sight. Come share your memories and funny stories with us.
