To combat local food scarcity, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry is reminding hunters and landowners about its deer donation program.
Donations of deer meat are being accepted through the nonprofit’s “Meat the Need” initiative. Participants can, at no charge, take deer into a local participating meat processor and tell them its for Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry. After being processed, the meat will be given to local hunger relief agencies.
