INDIANAPOLIS
Beverly Joan (Roesener) Nicol, age 81, of Indianapolis, formerly of New Palestine, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1940 to Edwin and Emma (Ortel) Roesener. She graduated from Warren Central High School. On October 21, 1962, she married Carl Nicol.
She worked at Anthem Insurance for a few years before having children. Once she had children, Beverly was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Prior to her husband’s retirement, she worked at Little Bear Day Care for several years. Beverly was a member at Zion Lutheran Church and participated in many events at the Morristown American Legion. In her free time, she enjoyed playing piano, reading, baking cookies, camping, and working crossword puzzles. Family gatherings were a favorite time for her, as she cherished spending time with her kids.
Beverly is survived by her children, Julie Jones of Greenfield and Gene Nicol of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Kaitlynn Jones of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Emma; husband, Carl; brother, Glenn Roesener; and sister-in-law, Rita Kruse.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 6513 W 300 S, New Palestine, IN 46163. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the church with viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in New Palestine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Zion Lutheran Church Attn: Music Program 6513 W 300 S, New Palestine, IN 46163 or envelopes will be available at the church. Friends may share a memory.
