Family singers coming to Shirley

SHIRLEY — The Dave Melton Family of Columbus will be in concert during the 10:30 a.m. service Oct. 17 at Shirley Christian Church, 202 Meridian St., Shirley.

Churches take part in festival

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has a Boutique and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 9) at the church, 23 N. East St.

Its 10 a.m. service Sunday is also part of the Riley Festival schedule.

Musicians from Apostolic Pentecostal Church will lead Praise at the Festival from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the festival’s GBC Entertainment Tent on South Street.

From 1 to 2:30 p.m., the gospel music group 4 the Light will perform in the entertainment tent.

Comedian, dessert event to aid Life Choices

GREENFIELD — Life Choices Care Center in Greenfield will hold a fundraiser event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.

“Latte for Life” is a fall girls night out event featuring comedian Patty Jones, giveaways, dessert and a coffee bar. Tickets are $5; the event will be held at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield. Register through the link at www.facebook.com/LifeChoicesCareCenter.

Northside Christian plans rummage sale

GREENFIELD — Northside Christian Church will have a rummage sale in the church basement from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15-16. The church is located at 1304 Greenfield Drive (off McKenzie Road).

Enter through the back doors. A free-will offering will be accepted, with proceeds going to missions.

Food drive to benefit four pantries

GREENFIELD — The Fill a Truck, Fill a Pantry food drive is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in the parking lot of Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 210 E. Main St.

Non-perishable items collected will go to Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, Hancock County Food Pantry, Fortville Area Resource Mission (FARM) and Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

The food drive is sponsored by Greenfield Rotary.

Chicken, noodles available by carry-out

WILLOW BRANCH — Willow Branch United Methodist Church will have a chicken and noodles dinner carry-out on Oct. 16.

The church is located at 6254 N. Main St., Wilkinson.

Church to recognize first responders

GREENFIELD — First Responders and Healthcare Workers Recognition Day is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 24 at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E. Fifth St. Greenfield.
