Volunteers needed for warming center

HANCOCK COUNTY — Officials with the Hancock County COAD Team are organizing a warming center for the upcoming winter. They need volunteers to make it operational, at least three men and three women each night. A Salvation Army Shelter Volunteer Training session is coming up where participants will learn how to open, close, manage and select a site for a shelter. The training is being held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. Lunch will be provided. The training will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 West Main St, Greenfield.
