‘Teens Throw Things’ at library

GREENFIELD — Teens: ever just want an hour to throw balls at things and knock them down? Now’s your chance. From 4 to 5 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 23 teens in grades 6-12 are invited to grab balls and throw them at stackable items at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road.

“Teens Throw Things” will also include Nerf guns and targets. Bring your friends and make a game of it, or just come and vent some school-year frustration.

Sugar Creek Township to hold family event

NEW PALESTINE — Sugar Creek Township will hold a family-friendly open house at Fire Station 45 on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include firefighter demonstrations, antique fire truck rides, bounce houses, a junior firefighter combat challenge and giveaways of carbon monoxide detectors. People are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to help fill the local food pantry and get an extra chance at a door prize. The station is located at 3545 S. 600W., New Palestine.

Lark Ranch opens this weekend

GREENFIELD — Lark Ranch corn maze and pumpkin patch opens this weekend in Greenfield. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
