McCORDSVILLE — Blue Angel Connect plans a fundraiser chili cook-off at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 7879 N. County Road 700W in McCordsville.
Eight contestants will vie to have the best chili in the area. The contestants must cook chili on site. Judges will taste at 4:30 p.m. Tasting for the public begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.
First-, second- and third-place awards will be given in two categories: contemporary and alternative. A People’s Choice award also will be given out.
This event will raise money for Blue Angel Connect’s annual Holiday Hope Event to surprise local deserving families with Christmas gifts.
Tickets for the event, which also features a silent auction, dessert table and drinks, are $5/per person to sample all eight chilis. Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased online at www.blueangelconnect.org.
