NEW PALESTINE
Donna Sue (Roberts) Koohns, age 88, of New Palestine, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021. She was born in Shelby County on March 18, 1933 to John Kenneth Roberts and Marjorie Evangeline (Henderson) Roberts. She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1950. On December 24, 1950, she married William Frank Koohns in Connersville.
She worked as a sales coordinator at RCA for 18 years until retirement in 1986. After retiring at RCA, she worked at Frosty Boy and Cafe 52 in New Palestine for several years. Donna attended New Palestine United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing bridge and spending time with her family.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Billie Sue (Kim) Davis and Connie Jo (Charles) Hunt both of New Palestine; grandchildren, Cary, Charity, Jessica, Amber, Jonathan, Rebecca, and Michael; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Beth Fisher of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Roberts; husband, William Koohns; and grandsons, Adam Hunt and Christopher William Davis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Roger Holder will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
