College, career fair planned for today

GREENFIELD — High school students or adults looking to take college classes or make a change in their careers are welcome to attend a free college and career fair today.

The event, held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, Sept. 14 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, will include representatives from more than 30 colleges and universities, from small private universities to large state colleges. Participants can walk around at their own leisure and talk with college and career representatives, or just gather information on site and learn about how to apply for scholarships.

Colleges represented include Purdue University, IUPUI, Butler University, Ball State University, Franklin College, Indiana State University, Vincennes University, University of Southern Indiana, University of Saint Francis, Wabash College and more.

Scholarship information from the Hancock County Community Foundation will be presented at 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will include information on eligibility, how to apply and deadlines. The event is sponsored by Hancock County Leaders in Navigating Knowledge (LINK).
