Studies include Bible timeline, parables

GREENFIELD — Two Bible studies will begin soon at St. Michael Catholic Church.

-Bible Timeline is an adult beginner Bible study. This series will walk you through 14 books of the Bible (12 from the Old Testament and two from the New Testament). These books will give you a strong foundation for understanding the history and background of the Catholic faith.

This series will be taught by graduates of Guadalupe Bible College. Those who go are asked to bring a Bible.

The study meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 8, at the church’s Parish Life Center, Room 2, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield. The study can also be accessed via Zoom.

Meeting dates follow the St. Michael Wednesday Religious Education program and a schedule will be emailed to participants. Registration is required for this series, whether you plan to participate in person or by Zoom. All participants will receive the Zoom recordings after the sessions, and you may also opt to participate by receiving recordings only. To register or for questions email Darlene at [email protected]

-The Parables of Jesus looks at how Jesus often taught people using parables, short stories using examples from everyday living, that reflect a deeper spiritual meaning. The study will meet both in person and via Zoom from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays, from Sept. 9 through Nov. 18, at the St. Michael Catholic Church Parish Office meeting room 1, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield. It is also accessible via Zoom.

Teachers for this series are graduates of Guadalupe Bible College. Those who go are asked to bring a Bible.

The study is free, but registration is required whether you plan to participate in person or by Zoom. All participants will receive the Zoom recordings after the sessions, and you may also opt to participate by receiving recordings only. To register or questions email Darlene at [email protected]
