‘Holes’ showing outside Saturday at Stillinger’s

Enrollment open for acting classes at The Civic
CARMEL — Kids can try out acting by enrolling in fall classes at The Civic.
Junior Civic fall enrollment opened this week at the Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre in Carmel, which is the largest of more than 70 Indiana community theatres. Presidential birthday party planned at Harrison home
INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers of all ages might enjoy a presidential birthday celebration at the home of Indiana’s only U.S. president. The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is offering free tours this Friday, Aug. 20 in a family-friendly event to honor his 188th birthday. Guests may arrive between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and meet reenactors playing President Harrison and his family for an authentic experience. Sing “Happy Birthday” and enjoy complimentary treats. Tour the 10,000 square foot Italianate Victorian family home of the country’s 23rd U.S. president, who served from 1889-1893.
